Who can submit
Any genre, any stage
Unlike a traditional publisher's submissions inbox, there is no genre we exclude and no manuscript too rough to send. We are not selecting a handful of books from a slush pile; we are assessing what your specific manuscript needs.
Fiction, non-fiction, memoir, business books, poetry and children's books are all welcome. If you have only a partial draft or an outline rather than a complete manuscript, say so in the form: we can still assess where you are up to and suggest a sensible next step, including ghostwriting support if that is what would help most.

The form below asks for what an editor actually needs to give you a useful answer, nothing more.
A sample or the full manuscript
If you have a complete draft, attach it: that gives the most accurate assessment. If not, your opening chapters (5,000 to 10,000 words) are enough to start with.
Genre and word count
Even an approximate figure helps scope the work correctly. If you genuinely do not know, we can help you estimate it.
Where the manuscript is up to
First draft, revised draft, previously edited, previously published: this changes what an assessment needs to look for.

A couple of sentences on what the book is about. It helps your editor read with the right expectations.
Confidentiality
Your manuscript is treated as private
Submitted material is used only to assess and quote your project. It is not shared, published, or used for any purpose beyond your enquiry. A mutual non-disclosure agreement is available on request before you send anything, if you would prefer that in place first.

Written assessment
A short report on what your manuscript does well and what it needs, plus a recommended level of editing.

Pricing broken down by stage, so you can see exactly what each part costs and take only what you want.
Typical turnaround is five to ten business days. If your submission is urgent, mention the deadline in your message and we will tell you honestly whether we can meet it.
